Use the online MBTA schedules and maps to get to the City of Melrose

DIRECTIONS TO CITY HALL
BY AUTOMOBILE

(1) From Boston and South
Take: Route 93 North
To: Exit 34 (Melrose/Stoneham- Rt. 28 Stone Zoo)
Take: Right at next set of lights

(2) From 128 & North
Take: Route 93 South
To: Exit 35 (Winchester Highlands/Melrose)
Take: Left at end of ramp
Take: Right at stop sign
Go: Straight through set of lights

Directions are now the same for (1) and (2):
Go: Past Stone Zoo (on right)
Take: Next left after zoo- Pond St./W.Wyoming (small green sign “Melrose”)
Go: Downhill to set of lights (J.J. Grimbsy restaurant at intersection)
Go: Straight through set of lights
Go: Over train tracks to next set of solid lights (Intersection of W.Wyoming & Main St.)
Take: Left at set of lights onto Main St. (This will put you in downtown Melrose)
Go: Straight through the next three sets of lights (City Hall will be on your left)
Take: The left (“One Way” sign) immediately after Fire Station (Next to Memorial Hall)
Park: In the municipal parking lot behind the fire station.
Walk: Back entrance to City Hall next to fire station. Handicapped accessible.

(3) From Route 1- North & South
Take: Essex St. –Melrose/Stoneham exit for both
Note: For Rt. 1 North exit is after SubVilla
For Rt. 1 South exit is before Burger King

Go: Past Sears (on right) now on Upham St. to set of lights
Go: Straight through set of lights (Intersection of Upham & Lebanon)
Take: Right at next set of lights onto Main St.
Take: The left (“One Way” sign) immediately after fire station (Next to Memorial Hall)
Park: In the municipal parking lot behind the Fire Station.

POND STREET from Spot Pond becomes Wyoming Avenue at Grimsby’s Restaurant, corner of Fellsway. Continue straight to Main Street (approx. 1.5 miles crossing railroad tracks and uphill to traffic lights). Take left on Main St. Continue through 3 traffic lights. Memorial Hall is on left after City Hall and Fire Station.
